Q. If shooting in Raw (NEF) on the D3100 the file that is made is not compatible with Photoshop (CS4-Mac). Does anyone know a way how can I get around this?
A. When Adobe Photoshop CS4 fails to play nice, and you don't have the stomach to pay for yet another update, try GIMP - http://www.gimp.org/macintosh GIMP has various RAW conversion options that play nicely with your D3100 NEF files. Try - UFRAW, or RawTherapee, or even Photivo.
